Executive Director - shari.mahar@communityintegration.org.                          Since 1991, Shari has been helping CISS grow and develop into one of the provinces top organizations supporting people with developmental disabilities. Shari oversees all of CISS’ daily operations including day programs, services, staff members, just to name a few. Shari is very knowledgeable and experienced in this field. Prior to becoming a part of CISS, Shari already had more than 10 years of relevant industry experience to her credit. Shari’s resume includes work experience in a variety of services, featuring vocational departments, institutional wards, group homes, semi-independent living, pre-vocational programs and day program services in three different provinces.

Pam oversees the financial component of CISS. Specifically, Pam looks after the bookkeeping, financial statements, term deposits, and informs the Executive Director and the Board of how the Society is managing financially.  Pam is also involved in the overall function and betterment of the Society in collaboration with the Executive Director which involves items such as policy making, drafting, amendments, human resources, and issues that arise in connection with the collective agreement.  Pam’s favourite part of the job is the easy going and friendly culture of CISS.

Kahir has been a Program Manager with CISS since 2006. He is a busy manager who is in charge of the Social Committee and also helps run CISS’ Annual Family Fun Fair fundraiser. Kahir is also the management representative on the Society’s Health & Safety Committee. In addition, Kahir represents CISS on the North Shore Senior’s Coalition Committee and operates Individualized Day Services and Leisure Services on the North Shore. Kahir loves all aspects of his job. It’s not very often that you come across a person who gets up in the morning and looks forward to an exciting day of work ahead!

Wendy is the Program Manager who is in charge of the Society Newsletter.  Wendy and a team of staff representing each program meet regularly to compile articles for our Newsletter that comes out four times a year.  Wendy's team is also in charge of the Java with Friends Coffee House program. Each Thursday, the team sets up at Place Maillardville for the participants to enjoy and dance to live music, snacks from the concession stand, and meeting new and old friends.
